Poll says people don’t think cops calm some tense situations

At the center of the shooting of Michael Brown was, ultimately, the way police interact with citizens and more specifically with African-Americans. Perhaps then it’s not surprising that a recent poll shows just over half of Americans think calling police helps dissolve disputes in a peaceful manner.
