New Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner has issued an executive order delaying the construction of several new highway plans including the proposed Illiana Expressway which would connect I-65 in Indiana to I-55 in Illinois. Although officials in Indiana are ready to move ahead with development, Governor Rauner has called for an indefinite review on any proposed large-scale interstate construction.
