Reporter digs into IRS power structure

A recent investigative report published by the Center for Public Integrity questions the IRS' ability to monitor the political activity of nonprofit organizations. In her story, reporter Julie Patel outlines a systematic draining of resources from IRS departments whose role it is to make sure these "social welfare" nonprofits are operating within the law. Meanwhile, more and more money is being filtered through these groups to political campaigns. Patel unpacks this issue and details her report. Photo Courtesy of Facebook
