Retiring Ald. Danny Solis (25th) reportedly wore a wire during conversations with embattled Ald. Ed Burke (14th) as part of a federal corruption case.

Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul’s office said it will review the 81-month prison sentence handed down to Jason Van Dyke last week. The former Chicago Police officer was found guilty in the 2014 shooting death of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald.
