Wisconsin GOP Legislators Want To Strip Democratic Governor Of Powers

Wisconsin’s Republican Gov. Scott Walker has until Tuesday to decide whether to veto a package of bills that would limit the power of incoming Democratic governor Tony Evers.

If he signs the bills or takes no action, Wisconsin will become the third state in recent years where GOP legislators have voted to curtail the power of the governor on the eve of a Democratic takeover.

In Wisconsin, a bipartisan group of lawmakers, commentators and others is calling on Walker to veto the legislation.

That group includes conservative commentator, radio personality, and author Charlie Sykes. Morning Shift talks with Sykes about what’s the matter with Wisconsin.
