World renowned chamber group Eighth Blackbird begins residency at MCA
It’s one thing to go to a museum and see an artist’s work. It’s a completely different experience to go and watch artists at work. But that’s exactly what’s in store for visitors to Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art. Beginning today, Chicago chamber music ensemble 8th Blackbird begins a 10-month residency at the MCA. The sextet will be hanging out in the third-floor galleries where visitors will get to immerse themselves in Eighth Blackbird’s creative process as the group practices, performs, and works out fresh material. We’re joined by 8th Blackbird for a bit of a preview of their project.
