For this edition of Stories on Stage we revisit one story from our 2004 live performance season program, “Life on the Fringe,” which featured stories about the art of being different.  Susan Osborne-Mott reads Labors of the Heart, by Claire Davis. The story originally appeared in The Best American Short Stories: 2001, edited by Barbara Kingsolver.
