This week’s Stories on Stage features characters attempting to negotiate the unpredictable terrain of complex family relationships. Both stories were originally presented as part of the 2004 live season at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

The first story explores a the mind of a child in “The Kid’s Guide To Divorce,” by Lorrie Moore. Julie Mann reads with co-direction by Mike Myers and Abigail Deser.

In the second story, “Songbirds,” by Heidi Jon Schmidt, a wife faces the dissappointing shortcomings of her marriage and family relationships.
