Google donated 500 Finch robots to Chicago’s libraries. They’re built especially to teach people, even young kids, computer programming skills. We sent one of the robots home with our Director of Digital Content Tim Akimoff so his daughter Gabby could test it out for us. After just a couple of days of tinkering with her dad, Gabby got pretty good at making the Finch robot do things. We asked her to come to our studios to teach me what she learned. Tom Lauwers of BirdBrain Technologies, who designed the Finch robot, joins us to talk about developing the robot.
