Each year, Congo Square Theatre presents a unique, refreshed version of “Black Nativity”, the Langston Hughes classic that premiered back in 1961. The play itself has become a tradition across the country. This year, that tradition lives on. Inspired by “Black Nativity”, “A Nativity Story: More than a Miracle” finds single mother Diane, watching her relationship with her son Nathan slip away. The story follows Diane on a journey to overcome her circumstances. Written by Congo Square ensemble member Alexis J. Rogers, “A Nativity Story” runs until December 28th.
