Just about every month, we check-in with our favorite local journalists and bloggers. We get their perspectives on the recent local and national news headlines that they liked, stories they disliked, and stories that made them go WTF!?!
Since education news has been breaking lately, host Richard Steele was joined by two heavy hitters:
• Sarah Karp, Senior Investigator, Better Government Association
• Becky Vevea, WBEZ Education Reporter
We also heard from Val Gray Ward, founder of Kuumba Ensemble. On October 25th at the DuSable Museum, she’ll present a documentary of the Ensemble’s 1987 revue titled “Precious Memories, 47th Street Strollin.” We got a preview of that presentation.
The Barber Shop Show airs on Fridays and Saturdays at Noon on Vocalo 91.1FM. In addition, the show broadcasts on Sundays at 3pm on WBEZ 91.5FM.
