Morning Rehearsal: Chicago theater 6/1

1. Performing Tonight: Liza Minelli's Daughter is wrapping up its run at the Neo-Futurarium this weekend. A one-woman show starring Mary Fons (well, let's not forget her "sexy backup dancers Donnell Williams and Joseph Shupbach"), Liza Minelli's Daughter "is a vehicle for Mary to connect with the woman she believes to be her biological mother: Liza Minnelli."

According to the press release, "If the Chicago run goes well, Mary plans to hit the bright lights of New York City and perform for Liza herself, reuniting Mary with her mother and starting her on the life she was meant to live in the first place." Tongue-in-cheek? I hope so...otherwise, watch out Liza.

2. Roundabout Theatre is moving Suicide, Incorporated to both New York and Washington D.C. this Fall. Is it as depressing as it sounds? Maybe not.  "Andrew Hinderaker’s provocative and darkly funny new play takes us to an unorthodox writing service that specializes in crafting the perfect suicide note, where a subversive new employee is suspected of the unthinkable."

3. Theater Seven of Chicago presents The Chicago Landmark Project Thursday through the beginning of July. It's 12 new plays about neighborhoods around Chicago, and features quite a mix of Chicago performers you know and love. See parts A and B together or separately, if you want to avoid reminders of that neighborhood your ex-girlfriend lives in. “We very explicitly were not looking for a project that had Wrigley Field and the Willis Tower and everything famous. We really wanted personal landmarks,” artistic director Brian Golden told TimeOut.

4. Virgin Dacquiri performs tonight at 8 pm at iO, and every Wednesday through July 27. They're all ladies, all the time, and have been around since 2004, so they must be good, right? Also, it's free!

5. Cubicle! An Office Space Musical ends this weekend at Theater Wit, wrapping up all your dreams of seeing Office Space live. Don't forget your flair
