WBEZ has a history with retiring Senator Evan Bayh. Bayh had agreed to do an interview with Jerome McDonnell and Worldview back in 2004. Worldview was doing a show on military and Bayh was the head of the Senate Armed Forces Committee. Jerome explains in this tape what happened next. A publicist or PR woman from Bayh’s office was listening in on the interview and continued to interrupt to hurry things along and attempts to change the direction of the interview. This usually is a big no-no in our business, but it happens and you rarely hear about it because it is cut out of interviews.
