Now in its 9th year, the Creative Chicago Expo is a chance for arts organizations and artists of all disciplines to connect, exchange  information, and share best practices. In the past, more than 5,000 creative practitioners and 140 local and national vendors participated in dozens of free workshops and networking opportunities across Chicago’s diverse arts communities brought together at the Chicago Cultural Center.

In 2012, The Expo is expanding to two days with 32 new workshops presented by experts on topics such as crowdfunding, social media, maximizing donations, branding, intellectual property, alternative funding, collaboration, grant writing, strategic partnerships, building your board, live/work spaces, fiscal sponsorship, zoning and more.

Friday, March 23rd will focus on information for arts organizations and creative businesses. Saturday, March 24th will focus on the needs of individual creatives.

Admission is free and open to the public both days. For a complete workshop schedule and to see the complete list of vendors, visit their website.
