As a new generation of veterans returns from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, they take their place alongside veterans of other American wars. We continue our series, “After the Wars” - bringing stories of some of those veterans, from World War II to today. Korean War veteran Bill Stenberg says he was just “standing on the corner with a friend” when he decided to enlist in the military. He was deployed to Korea, where he fought on the front lines and was wounded.
