Eight Forty-Eight

Allegations of misconduct trouble Chicago Police Department

Chicago Police interim Superintendant Terry Hillard has had a rough few weeks. He’s had to deal with at least two public cases of police misconduct. The first was broken by WBEZ, after uncovering a video which appears to show police allowing the intimidation of a young man in their custody. Then came allegations of sexual assault--two officers are being investigated for the sexual assault of a 22-year-old woman on the far North Side.

To find out what these cases mean for the Chicago Police Department, Eight Forty-Eight spoke to Chicago Sun-Times crime reporter Frank Main.
