Marcela Muñoz, Director of the Aguijón Theatre, is joined by performers Oliver Aldape Oswaldo Calderón, Raúl Dorantes, Juana Goergen, Benjamín Magaña, Marcela Muñoz, Rosario Vargas, and Febronio Zatarain. contratiempo writers and Aguijón Theatre performers bring to the stage short stories from the book Sun, Stone and Shadows, and poetry and short stories by local writers honoring the narrative tradition of some of the great Mexican writers included in the book.

Sun, Stone and Shadows, a collection of short stories by Juan Rulfo, Octavio Paz, Rosario Castellanos, Juan José Arreola and Carlos Fuentes, among others, was chosen by presenters Boundless Readers and National Louis University’s for the National Endowment for the Arts’ Big Read program in Chicago.
