Jeffrey Toobin, bestselling author and CNN’s acclaimed senior legal analyst, will discuss his remarkable new book, The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court. Tobin’s deft narrative takes the reader into the chambers of the Court, and reveals the complex dynamic among the nine people who decide the law of the land.

Jeffrey Toobin is a lawyer, author, and television legal analyst.  Toobin is currently a staff writer at The New Yorker, a senior analyst for CNN, and the author of five books.

Lori Lightfoot is a Partner at Mayer Brown with extensive experience in every facet of civil and criminal litigation.  As a civil litigator and an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the criminal division, Lightfoot has tried over 20 federal and state, jury and bench trials.  Aside from her work as an Assistant United States Attorney, Lightfoot served as the Chief Administrator for the Office of Professional Standards (OPS) of the Chicago Police Department and as the Chief of Staff and General Counsel for Chicago’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) where she was responsible for overseeing the city’s 911 emergency and non-emergency call systems.
