Did you see the big flash of light around 10:00 last night? It’s believed a meteor fell from the sky and was visible all over the Midwest. Ashley Sears is a meteorologist in Milwaukee’s office of the National Weather Service. She says her office received a few reports from witnesses - but most of the calls came from western Wisconsin and Iowa.

SEARS: They saw that it was basically a small light coming down and then all of a sudden it just lit up like it was day. And then there was this really quick flash. Some people said it almost looked like lightning in the sky.

Sears says some witnesses have reported feeling the impact of the suspected meteor. The Chicago office of the National Weather Service has not received any reports.
