Black and Brown: United or Divided? Latinos, Immigration, and the African American Community

As Chicago has mobilized for immigrant rights, the various responses from the African American community have spurred a series of community discussions. Beyond expressing simple solidarity, there is the need to understand and address the complex political, historical, and social links between "Blacks and Browns" in the interest of advancing social justice.
