Chicago is known for its theater, fine arts, music festivals, and other cultural offerings. This year the city of Chicago is undertaking the creation of a new Cultural Plan. Learn how this plan is being created with input from Chicago’s citizens and how you can be involved in the process. The city’s last cultural plan was developed under Mayor Harold Washington in 1986, and resulted in the creation of the Chicago Cultural Center, the redevelopment of Navy Pier, and the building of the Downtown Theater District.
