Now that Rick Bayless has been crowned Top Chef Master, his public profile is higher than it’s ever been before (desipte being a repeat James Beard award winner and having his own PBS program). Well, if you follow the station closely, you know that we’ve known the chef for a long time. Here’s an incomplete list of Chef Bayless’ appearances on WBEZ:
- Bayless schooled Steve Dolinsky on Mexican Independence Day back in 2003 on Eight Forty-Eight
- Steve Edwards interviewed Bayless at the Chicago History Museum in 2006 for the Chicago Treasures series
- On his way to an Eight Forty-Eight interview in 2006 Bayless made a wrong turn and wound up in Studio 312
- In 2008 Bayless participated in Culinary Chicago: The Local Option and Chicago Amplified recorded it
