Three authors will discuss Chicago’s gangs. The panel includes Natalie Y. Moore and Lance Williams, co-authors of the new book The Almighty Black P. Stone Nation: The Rise, Fall, and Resurgence of an American Gang, and John Hagedorn, author of A World of Gangs: Armed Young Men and Gangsta Culture.

Hagedorn is a professor of criminal justice at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Moore is a reporter for Chicago Public Radio and co-author of Deconstructing Tyrone: A New Look at Black Masculinity in the Hip-Hop Generation. Williams is an associate professor at Northeastern Illinois University.
