Another candidate is out of the Chicago mayoral race.

Rev. Wilfredo De Jesus is pulling out and plans to throw his support behind former Chicago school board president Gery Chico. In a news release announcing his withdrawal Friday, De Jesus’ campaign says he and Chico share a commitment to economic development and fighting poverty and homelessness.

De Jesus is the senior pastor at the New Life Covenant Church in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood and a commissioner on the city’s Zoning Board of Appeals.
