Louder Than A Bomb is the largest teen poetry festival in the world. Aiming to bring teens together across racial, gang, and socio-economic lines, Louder Than A Bomb provides friendly competition that emphasizes self-expression and community through poetry, oral storytelling, and hip-hop spoken word. The festival is an Olympic-style poetry competition, featuring 70 teams and 650 students in 2011. There are also other slam opportunities such as the Duo Slam. Duo poems are not allowed in regular LTAB competition, but the duet is a very viable form in spoken word poetry. The Duo Slam celebrates this art form and calls for duo poets to come together with sweet duo skills. Anyone can form a duet, and, as with all LTAB events, the points are not the point.

Recorded Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Columbia College Chicago.
