Ed reform bill moving quickly

Illinois lawmakers today are considering a wide-ranging education reform bill that’s being called “historic.”  It would fundamentally re-define how teachers are hired and fired in Illinois. The bill is moving fast—the Illinois Senate approved the legislation 59-0 late Thursday.

Earlier Thursday afternoon, WBEZ education reporter Linda Lutton spoke to host Melba Lara about what the bill contains and why it has such broad support.
