Columbia College Chicago Fiction Writing Department presents 17th Annual Story Week Festival of Writers programs in partnership with the Chicago Public Library.

Emma Donoghue appears in conversation with Garnett Kilberg Cohen to discuss her powerful novel titled Room. Told entirely in the language of the energetic, pragmatic five-year-old Jack, Room is a celebration of resilience and the limitless bond between parent and child, a brilliantly executed novel about what it means to journey from one world to another.

Garnett Kilbert Cohen is an instructor at Columbia College Chicago and was named a Distinguished Artist there in 2007. She has published two collections of short stories, most recently How We Move the Air, along with numerous other publications.

Seating is in the Cindy Pritzker Auditorium and available first come, first served. Reservations are not required. Books are available for purchase at this event. The authors will autograph books at the conclusion of the program.
