Germany has decided to scrap nuclear power by 2022. Prime Minister Angela Merkel hopes Germany can serve as a road map for how a country can achieve growth and shift the energy supplies toward renewables at the same time.

Across the pond, the Rocky Mountain Institute thinks the U.S. can be off fossil fuels entirely by 2050.  Michael Potts, the institute’s president and CEO, discusses their strategy, which they call “Reinventing Fire.”
