Eight Forty-Eight

Examining the impact of high-profile witnesses in the Blagojevich retrial

A spokesman for Rod Blagojevich says the ex-governor plans to testify in his corruption re-trial. His appearance on the stand could come as early as Thursday morning. Meanwhile, his defense has been keeping the seat prepared for him.

On Wednesday they called Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. to the stand. Their appearance was much anticipated but their testimony was brief. So, do high-profile witnesses help or hurt his case?

To find out, Eight Forty-Eight spoke to Attorney Alan Tuerkheimer, an expert jury consultant with Zagnoli McEvoy Foley.
