Today, we revisit a conversation with Robert Paarlberg from earlier this year. He’s a professor of political science at Wellesley College in Massachusetts. His latest book is “Food Politics: What Everyone Needs to Know.”
Paarlberg takes issue with some of the developing world’s more fashionable ideas about food in ways that might surprise you. He says the West’s embrace of organic and sustainable farming has eclipsed the bigger problem of poverty and hunger in the developing world.
