How do early Greek democratic ideals guide contemporary news coverage in both the Middle East and the United States?  What other values influence news production for an increasingly global market?  While technology has made it easier for people to get the “news,” it has become more difficult to interpret and learn from the wide variety of messages and media outlets available.  Join guest presenters of the Arab American Action Network and the Hellenic Museum and Cultural Center in asking what ideals, purposes, and perspectives shape the news we see and hear.  Presenters and participants will share strategies for navigating the modern media technopolis.
