DJ Charlie Glitch of the Chicago crew Ghetto Division helped us kick up the dance music to start weekend up, club-style, when he stopped by 848 to spin for their DJ series. Ghetto Division hails from the the streets of Pilsen, and beyond.  Glitch says that the name was born of two things: 1) that all the members of GD happened to all come from “ghetto” areas of the city, and 2) that the message, music and style GD was quite different from that of the DJs that bought into and fostered the “gangsta” elements of hip hop culture. Ghetto Division joined a whole slew of DJs at the Mad Decent Block Party that took place at the Hideout in Chicago in mid-August.
