Each Thursday, on Global Activism, we hear about an individual who’s decided to work to make the world a better place.

Last January we featured a segment about a partnership between New Trier High School and the St. Joseph School in Petit Goave, Haiti. The New Trier community was helping support to fix up the school, which was started by the father of Maurice Bonhomme, a New Trier security guard. But a few weeks after the story aired, a deadly earthquake struck Haiti.

The St. Joseph School was completely destroyed. So the New Trier community is helping to rebuild it. Carolyn Muir and Maurice Bonhomme came by to tell us about the progress of the New Trier Haiti Project.
