It’s Thursday, and time for our Global Activism series. Each Thursday we hear about an individual who’s decided to work to make the world a better place.

Gregory Gross is Clinical Manager of the HIV Testing and Prevention Program at the  Center on Halsted here in Chicago . Gregory’s been working on HIV/AIDS issues here in Illinois for many years. Gross is also a licensed social worker and a deacon in the United Methodist Church .

Last year he was contacted by a group of deacons who were going to Zimbabwe to investigate the HIV/AIDS pandemic there. The next thing he knew, he was on his way to Zimbabwe to Project Tariro. It’s an HIV/ AIDS prevention program based in Old Moo-tar-ee. And It was quite a trip…
