It’s Thursday! That means it’s time for our Global Activism segment. Each Thursday, we talk with a person who decided to make the world a better place.

Malawi, in southeast Africa, is one of the world’s ten poorest countries. But you may not know that the largest concentration of Malawians living in the U.S. are in the South Bend, Indiana area.

We’ll get an update from Phyllis Wezeman, executive director and volunteer for the South Bend-based Malawi Matters. The group’s mission is to develop culturally-inspired HIV and AIDS education in Malawi. Phyllis is also author of Through the Heart: Creative Methods of HIV and AIDS Education.
