Some of the world’s great guitarists will gather in Chicago this week. They’ll join another virtuoso – one of the men behind the Chicago Guitar Festival. Goran Ivanovic leads his own group, Eastern Blok but is also known as one-half of the Andreas Kapsalis-Goran Ivanovic Guitar Duo. Both were heard on Eight Forty-Eight before but this time, Goran flew solo to strum some tunes and talk up the fest.

Guitarist Goran Ivanovic handles six of the many sweet strings that will perform at the 2nd Annual Chicago Guitar Festival. The fest starts Wednesday evening with a performance at Instituto Cervantes of Chicago.

Check out the complete festival schedule, plus Goran performs “The Cave” just for our online listeners.  It’s an unreleased song by his band Eastern Blok.
