Parents and students at a lot of Chicago Public Schools are trying to send a message to state lawmakers that they are proud of the city’s schools, despite budget trouble. One North Side school has tied a chair to a tree outside their school and filled it with messages for Governor Bruce Rauner to come visit their school. 

State lawmakers have yet to approve an education budget for next fall.
