An unusual jazz camp just finished its fourth year in Chicago. It’s a collaboration between the Jazz Institute of Chicago, Columbia College and the Chicago Jazz Ensemble.
It’s called “Straight Ahead and Other Directions.”
It’s a summer camp, but not for kids. It features jazz immersion for adults … from fans to professionals.
WBEZ’s Richard Steele sat in on one workshop.
