In Trust, a seemingly innocent online encounter threatens to unravel the fabric of an American family. This Lookingglass Theatre World Premiere is written by David Schwimmer and Andy Bellin, based on the screenplay by Andy Bellin and Rob Festinger. Directed by David Schwimmer and Heidi Stillman, Trust is a cutting-edge theatrical experience combining projection, video, photos, texting and live chat.

As the internet increasingly becomes the hunting ground for sexual predators, this production serves not only to raise awareness but to move and empower audiences to take action in their communities and within their own families.

The preshow lecture is led by Raven Foundation Founder Suzanne Ross and Professor Martha (Martie) J. Reineke of the University of Northern Iowa.

A Professor of Religion, Dr. Reineke directed the UNI Women’s Studies Program (1990-94) and the Graduate Program in Women’s Studies (1994-1999). She is the author of numerous professional publications, including a highly acclaimed book, Sacrificed Lives: Kristeva on Women and Violence, published by Indiana University Press.

Recorded Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Loyola University Museum of Art.
