Two months ago, historic change swept through Libya as Colonel Muammar Qaddafi, a dictator known for his zero tolerance towards dissent, fled into hiding. Since then, day by day, revolutionary forces have picked apart the dictator’s regime in one of the most dramatic narratives of the Arab Spring. Today, the National Transitional Council officially announced that its forces killed Qaddafi. The country’s new leadership also claimed control of Qaddafi’s hometown Sirte, the last major bastion of resistance in Libya.
