Making Media Connections is an annual conference where hundreds of community leaders, nonprofit executives, journalists, independent publishers and media relations experts gather to promote news that matters.  Join community leaders, nonprofit communicators and board members, mainstream and independent journalists, publishers, media experts and the general public to discuss getting our communities’ important stories told.

Join conference attenders for this special event:  The first-ever joint meeting of WTTW and Chicago Public Radio Community Advisory Boards.  Community Advisory Boards explore how stations might better discern and communicate emerging needs of various publics to station management. These Community Advisory Councils originated with the passing of the Public Telecommunications Financing Act of 1978, which mandates the establishment of a council “broadly representative of the communities served.”

Recorded Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Columbia College Film Row Cinema.
