The latest film from the Dardenne brothers, The Kid with a Bike, snagged a Grand Jury prize at this years Cannes Film Festival. The film tells the story of 11-year-old Cyril who, devastated by his father’s abandonment, becomes obsessed with finding his old bicycle. Amidst his search for the last staple of a cohesive childhood, Cyril strikes up a relationship with a local hairdresser. Worldview film contributor Milos Stehlik gives his take on the film.
