Three sleek white towers at the University of Chicago are bringing the dormitory experience closer to the community.

Designed by architect Jeanne Gang, the buildings range from 5 to 15 stories and will hold a total of 800 beds along with a large communal dining center. The space will also have a performance area and room for local retail and dining options.

As with all the dorms at the University of Chicago, first year students will pay a little more than $9,000 a year to live there.

All 800 beds are sold out and students will move in this coming weekend.
