Juliano Mer-Khamis was the director of The Jenin Freedom Theatre in the West Bank. He founded the organization to help Palestinian children express themselves through the arts. Born to a Jewish-Israeli mother and a Palestinian-Christian father, the well-known actor and director knew his efforts put him at risk.  One week ago, a hooded gunman shot him to death as he stepped from his car outside the theatre.

Independent journalist Max Budovitch, host of the online program Cross Talk, visited The Jenin Freedom Theatre and met with Mer-Khamis. He talks about his legacy.
