Conduct a random poll of what’s on the minds of Chicagoans and you might come up with a list that might include anything from concerns about police brutality to what's going on with Paris Hilton.

It isn’t always easy to tap into the collective conscious of a city’s inhabitants.

But this Thursday a film program called Out of the Vault provides a fascinating take on what was driving Chicago in the 1960s and '70s.
