On Sunday June 26, the Chicago Pride Parade took place along Halsted Street on the North Side of the city. Thousands of Chicagoans attended the event, which officials say may be the biggest crowd in parade history. The parade was almost derailed by vandalism, as 51 floats were damaged overnight in a warehouse on the South Side.

WBEZ participated in the parade. Events like Pride are a great way for WBEZ to get out into the city make WBEZ’s content known, says Vanessa Harris, WBEZ’s Director of Marketing.

Here are some photos taken from the WBEZ float.
