Flickr pool member swanksalot (aka Seth Anderson) got some shots of his polling place in the 42nd Ward’s 18th Precinct in Chicago. It’s the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 134 and from these photos it’s pretty clear that they’re supporting Obama. I was curious about how long polling places could display political signs leading up to the election, so I called The Chicago Board of Election Commissioners. I spoke with Tyana Parker there and she said they all have to come down by Thursday, October 30th- 5 days before the election. Flickr pool member ckweaver was also kind enough to submit a polling place photo- this one is for the 33rd Precinct of the 11th Ward in Bridgeport.‚  I’m not sure what the building is normally used for, though…
