Some heavy-hitting Northside Democrats showed up to the Ravenswood Lakeview Historical Association’s Lincoln Breakfast this morning. As you can see here, Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan and 47th Ward Alderman Gene Schulter were there and afterward laid a wreath at foot of the Lincoln statue at the corner of Lawrence and Western Avenues (you know- the one in front of the Walgreens). Jack Lydon of the Historical Association told me that Senate President John Cullerton sent representatives to the breakfast (5th congressional district hopeful John Fritchey also had campaign workers present, but didn’t make it himself). He also gave me this morsel- five parks in the city were named to honor Lincoln’s cabinet. Can you name all five?
