Special Primary in Kane County Prompts Longer Lines

Kane County voters cast their ballots in two primaries today. The county held a special primary to replace former speaker of the house Dennis Hastert. Kane County Clerk John Cunningham says this caused some longer lines at the polls.

CUNNINGHAM: We had some problems at the polling place as much as a lot of the people didn't know even with all the millions of dollars that all the candidates are spending on the congressional race that there were two of them. So it's been an interesting day. Because of two races there in making the poll booth longer because they had to vote twice.

Cunningham says overall the day went smoothly.
