Architect Dick Denison shares his proposal for new student residence halls at the Illinois Institute of Technology. This highly sustainable venture not only raises the bar with respect to green building technologies, but also engages students in a real-time evaluation of the building’s performance. The twin wings are designed to expand housing options while using a combination of mixed-mode natural ventilation, solar orientation and high-performance facades.
